About The Steel City Tape Measures Range

We pick tape measures that survive real trade use, where the case gets thrown in a van, the branding rubs against tools and a snapped clip means it never gets carried again. A tape that’s genuinely handy stays on the belt; a flimsy giveaway ends up in a drawer.

Print under a resin dome: The full-colour branding here sits under a domed label rather than flat on the case, so a clear resin layer takes the knocks. Your logo is far less likely to scuff off when the tape lives loose in a toolbox or door pocket.
Carried, not left behind: The bodies we stock give you a way to keep the tape close – a metal split ring on the keyring version, a carry strap and belt clip on the full-size one. A tape that clips to your hip gets used; one that rolls around a bench gets lost between jobs.
Length matched to the job: A 1m keyring tape suits quick how-wide-is-it checks and high-volume handouts, while a 5m body covers proper site measuring. Pick the length around who’s carrying it, so you’re not handing out something too bulky or too short to be useful.
Print sized to the dome: Each format has a set circular print area, from a 20mm dome on the keyring to a 40mm dome on the 5m body. We work to those sizes and send a proof first, so your artwork isn’t squeezed or pushed off-centre on a small badge.
Colours to match the brand: The keyring comes in blue, orange, red and yellow, so you can get close to a house colour on the body as well as the print, rather than defaulting to plain black on every handout.
A proof before production: Nothing goes to print until you’ve approved a visual proof, so you can check the logo sits right on a curved domed surface before the run starts.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
