About The Steel City Senator Range

A pen is the thing people judge your brand by in the first second – the first stroke, the weight, the click. We keep to Senator lines that write cleanly and last, so what you hand over at an event or drop in a welcome pack gets kept and used, not binned after one line. Here’s what we weigh up for you.

Ink that keeps writing: Most of these carry a Magic Flow refill, so there’s no faint first line and the pen sees out the week rather than drying up in a drawer. That’s the difference between someone reaching for your logo daily and forgetting they had it.
Push or twist, not caps: We lean to push-action and twist bodies because a loose cap cracks or goes missing in a bulk box. One-handed at a reception desk, a click is simply easier to use.
Recycled or bio, said plainly: If sustainability is in the brief, we can name it – 95% recycled ABS, or PLA made from renewable sugarcane – rather than leaving it at a vague eco claim you’d have to defend later.
Print or engrave to suit: A one-colour barrel print keeps a logo consistent across a reorder; engraving on a metal body gives a quieter, more permanent finish that won’t wear off. We’ll steer you by how the pen’s being used.
Proof before the run: Barrel print areas here are narrow, so we send a digital proof first and check your logo sits right at that width before anything’s printed.
Plan around 10-12 days: These run to around 10-12 working days from artwork approval, so you can line them up with an induction day, a trade show or a mailout without a rush.
A starting point, not the ceiling: These are the Senator lines we keep coming back to for reliable writing and timings. If your quantity and dates allow, we can source other models or finishes to the same standard – just ask.

Recycled with a proper refill: We’d put the Senator Evoxx Polished Recycled Ballpen forward for welcome packs, because it’s moulded from 95% recycled ABS but still takes a Magic Flow G2 refill – so it writes cleanly and skips the stiff, scratchy feel cheaper recycled pens can have. It’s push-action, made in Europe, with a 28 x 20mm barrel print in eight colours.
A simple sustainability story: The Senator Nature Plus Matt Ballpen is the one to reach for when you want an honest line to give: it’s PLA made from renewable sugarcane, push-action, and refillable with a Magic Flow G2. The 45 x 20mm barrel gives you decent room for a logo, so the eco message and the branding both land.
Room for a bigger logo: If you need the branding read at a glance for quick handouts, the Senator Super Hit Polished Plastic Ballpen gives you a 50 x 20mm barrel print – one of the largest here – on a high-gloss push-action body. It comes in nine colours with a large-capacity Magic Flow x20 refill, so it keeps writing rather than turning into a throwaway.
Engraved metal for gifting: The Senator Polar Metal Ballpen is our pick when the pen is the gift, not the giveaway. It’s a push-action metal body that comes in its own black card gift box, and we engrave the logo on a 45 x 5mm area so it stays put and won’t wear off the way print can.
Twist action, biobased body: The Senator Skeye Bio Matt Plastic Ballpen is a matt twist-action pen made from renewable biobased materials, with a large-capacity Magic Flow G2 refill. The twist mechanism means no cap to lose, and with eight body colours it’s an easy one to match to a brand.
Grip for real writing: When the pen will actually be written with in meetings, we’d steer you to the Senator Vertic Ballpen. Its triangular matt-metal barrel sits comfortably for longer notes, it’s rated up to 8500m of writing, and it’s engraved on an 80 x 5mm area – a long, clear line of branding down a pen people will keep using.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
