About The Steel City Charity Range

When you’re kitting out an appeal drop, a volunteer day or a fundraising stand, you want items people keep and a delivery date that holds. These are the charity and CSR picks we go back to, and here’s what we weigh up first.

Genuinely useful items: We steer you towards things that get used, like totes, sun sticks and reusable cutlery, rather than novelties that get left on the table. A useful item keeps your cause in front of people long after the event.
Named sustainability, not eco: We call out the actual material or cert, like Global Recycled Standard canvas, FSC matchboxes or 80% recycled containers, because a vague claim won’t survive a supporter’s questions. You get a line you can repeat in good faith.
Post-friendly formats: Several of these are made to go through a letterbox as a large letter, so a direct-mail appeal arrives intact rather than bouncing back for size. That keeps your postage predictable.
UK-made where it counts: We include UK-made lines because a shorter route gives us more grip on the date and a lower carbon footprint. If your event can’t move, that control matters more than a small saving.
Print we proof first: We work to defined print areas and send a digital proof before anything runs, so your logo isn’t cramped or off-centre when the boxes land. Fine detail gets checked before production, not after.
A starting point, not the ceiling: These are the charity lines we trust for print and timings, usually around 10-12 working days from artwork approval. If your quantity and dates allow, we can source bespoke to the same standard – just ask.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best.
