About The Steel City Pads & Blocks Range

These are the branded pads and memo blocks we reach for when you need something to leave in meeting rooms, hand out at training, or drop into a welcome pack. The usual letdowns are flimsy paper that curls, a pad that slides around a smooth table, or a print that only appears on the cover and disappears as soon as the top sheet is torn off.

Branding on every page: Most of these print on one side of every sheet, not just the cover, so your logo or a QR code stays in view right down to the last page. That means the pad is still working for you weeks after it left your stand.
Board back that stays put: The Smart pads are glued to a board back at the head, so they sit flat when someone is writing one-handed and do not creep across a boardroom table. It is a small thing that stops the pad feeling cheap in use.
UK-made consistency: A lot of this range is made in the UK, which keeps batch-to-batch colour steady when you reorder or send pads to different offices. They come out looking and feeling the same each time.
Print areas we proof first: We work to a set print area for every size, from a 138 x 95mm A6 up to a 297 x 210mm A4, and send a proof before printing so trimming never takes a bite out of your logo.
Certified paper you can point to: The paper is from certified, responsibly sourced forests, with recycled options in the Enviro and Eco lines. If someone asks what the sheet actually is, you have a clear answer rather than a vague eco line.
Lead times you can plan around: These run to around 10-12 working days from artwork approval, with a 5 Day Express option on selected lines like the A7. If your format, quantity or dates need something different, we can source bespoke sizes to the same standard – just ask.

Full-colour on every sheet: We recommend the A5 Smart Pad – Full Colour as the everyday meeting pad. Its 50 sheets of 75gsm paper are glued to a board back so it stays flat as you write, and full colour on a 200 x 138mm area every sheet keeps your branding in view through the whole pad, not just day one.
Recycled, made in the UK: The A6 Enviro Smart Notepad – Spot Colour is the one to pick when the recycled story matters. It is wiro-bound with a recycled natural card cover over 50 sheets of recycled 80gsm paper, small enough to drop in a delegate bag without dog-earing.
Cover that behaves like a notebook: The A4 Wiro Smart Notepad – Full Colour has laminated 300gsm front and back covers and is wiro-bound on the long edge, so it opens, shuts and goes in a bag without curling up the way a glued pad can. Full colour prints across a 195 x 287mm cover.
Sits beside the keyboard: The Smart Laptop Pad – Full Colour is a 297 x 105mm strip pad on a board back, made to sit next to a keyboard without getting buried under paperwork. It keeps a QR code or your details visible while someone jots notes on a call.
Desk memo that lasts months: The Mini Smart Memo Block holds around 500 sheets of 75gsm paper in a 100 x 100 x 50mm cube, printed one colour on all four sides. It sits on a desk long after an event, so your branding is seen every time someone tears a note off.
Pocket pad for events: The Eco Pocket Pad with Flip Top Cover – Full Colour is a recycled vinyl-covered pad of around 80 sheets at 103 x 63mm. The flip-top cover protects the pages in a jacket pocket or bag, so it still looks presentable when it is pulled out later.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
