About The Steel City Chili Concept Range

At Steel City, we’ve curated this Chili Concept pen shortlist to solve those common frustrations you often only notice “after” you’ve handed them out: rushed print, scuffed barrels, or reorders that come back looking slightly different.

We know that when you put your logo on a product, you want it to be perceived as good quality. Every item here runs on a 5-day turnaround from artwork approval, with a clear proofing stage and defined branding area. This allows you to order, sign off, and distribute with confidence, knowing exactly what’s going to land on your desk.

5-day turnaround control: We know lead times are a really common question. By keeping this range on a “5 Days From Artwork Approval” schedule, we can ensure the pens move quickly once you’ve signed off the proof. This helps you hit event dates without having to switch to a different model at the last minute, avoiding that panic of just buying “whatever’s in stock” and risking your branding consistency.
Proof-first print lock: We will always provide you with a proof before production – nothing goes to print without your approval. This step allows us to check the print placement and size before anything gets boxed, reducing the risk of logos being too small, off-centre, or sitting awkwardly on a curved barrel when the order arrives.
Readable branding areas: It’s really important that your logo lands well. We’ve only included options with stated 1-position branding areas (full colour, 1 colour print, or engraving) to ensure the space actually takes ink cleanly. If your logo has fine text or thin lines, this helps you choose a method that keeps it legible when someone is holding the pen at a normal writing distance.
Sleeved transit protection: We always suggest items that will arrive in perfect condition. We prefer models supplied in a Kraft sleeve because it stops barrels rubbing together in the box and picking up scuffs before you’ve even handed them out. If you’re using these in welcome packs or sending them by post, that sleeve ensures the pen doesn’t arrive loose and marked.
Grip-led barrel finishes: If you wouldn’t use the product yourself, there’s no point in handing it out. That’s why we’ve included soft-feel barrels alongside metal or recycled metal trims – so you get a pen that doesn’t feel like slick plastic when writing quickly in meetings. That finish tends to stay in rotation on desks because it feels steadier in the hand and has a real quality feel to it.
Refills that write cleanly: We want products to be used time and time again. We’ve prioritised models with known refills (including German Dokumental ® ink where specified) to reduce the stop-start scratchiness you get with inconsistent ink. If you’re putting these into onboarding packs, that first-use experience matters – it stops the pen getting binned as “faulty” straight away.
Traceable supply route: We have strict processes to keep control as much as possible. Our BPMA-accredited distributor route keeps the spec and supply chain consistent, so you’re less likely to see a silent material or finish change on a reorder. It means we can back you every step of the way with a clear paper trail.

Full-colour barrel pop: We chose the Chili Concept Nolo Ballpen – Full Colour because the 35 × 7mm full-colour barrel print gives you a compact area that holds colour detail without turning muddy. If your pen is going into busy handouts, this print option helps the branding stand out and do the job you need it to do.
Consistent 1-colour reorders: Our pick of the Chili Concept Nolo Ballpen – 1 Colour uses a defined 35 × 20mm 1-colour barrel print. This means the logo size and placement stay repeatable when you top up stock. If you’re ordering in batches, that controlled spec stops the frustration of “same pen, different looking branding.”
Engraving that won’t rub off: We’ve put forward the Chili Concept Blade Soft Feel Recycled Ballpen – Engraved option with a 30 × 7mm engraving area because engraving doesn’t wear away like surface print when the pen lives in pockets and bags. It leaves a lasting impression that stays readable without flaking.
Refillable onboarding staple: We always steer clients towards items that are useful for the long term. We recommend the Chili Concept Pegi Soft Feel Ballpen – Engraved because the refillable build and 40 × 6mm engraving give you a pen you can keep using rather than treating as disposable. If you’re kitting out new starters, that refillability stops the “one-and-done” behaviour when the ink runs out.
Four-ink working pen: We chose the Chili Concept Quartro Recycled Ballpen because the Black/Blue/Red/Green setup turns it into a pen people actually use day-to-day for edits, checklists, and meeting notes. If you’re handing pens out at events, this makes it a useful tool rather than just a novelty left behind.
Soft-feel with colour print: The Chili Concept Nala Ballpen – Full Colour made the list because we wanted a soft-feel barrel that still takes full-colour branding cleanly in a 40 × 6mm area. We want the product to land well with the client, and this finish ensures it feels quality in the hand and stays on the desk rather than in a drawer.

Exceptional service from start to finish. We ordered some branded plates and I have been so impressed with Steel City. We came to them with a short lead time for 138 plates and not only were they able to make this happen in the timeframe but the entire team were so helpful, communicative and reassuring throughout. I received the product today and it is even better then imagined. Fantastic quality. I couldn't recommend them enough! Thank you all so much, especially Rowan and Georgia!

10/10 service from start to finish. Attention to detail, rapid service and delivery whole turnaround in 5 days including some changes. Competitive price. Will 100% use again

We ordered branded items for Aspects Holidays through Steel City. They were incredibly efficient, helpful and communicative throughout the process, from initial sales, through to design, production and delivery (which was quick!). I really could not fault them.

Lovely badges!

“Everything ran smoothly. Quote options were dealt with promptly, and advice was given when requested. I was informed of the handover to a named person to oversee the production, and I was kept informed at every stage of the process and given the tracking info when my order was out for delivery. I have total trust in Steel City to handle and produce great products. My client is also super happy with the final product..”

Excellent service from start to finish! They were quick to respond to all my queries and produced fantastic designs for my tote bags, notebooks, pens, lanyards, brochures, and banners. The whole process was smooth, professional, and the finished products exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality design and print services. Thank you!

Excellent products — durable and great quality. The service from all the staff was exceptional throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Steel City again and would definitely recommend them.

Second time ordering from Steel City. The team has been marvellous once again. Very attentive to my requests, and in this occasion - very short deadline. They were quick to respond, and delivered on time in spite of the challenge of time. Always respond quickly and very proactive. I highly recommend this company for any marketing needs. Their brouchure is full of ideas and nothing is out of reach. Thank you once again team!

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best. I can't thank James and the team enough and will absolutely be ordering from them again in the future. Highly, highly recommend!

“Really happy with service from start to finish! Quick turnaround from ordering to receiving products.”

Steel City supplied magnets for us recently on behalf of one of our charity sector clients. Both David & Rowan from initial quote, through to overseeing the project itself were brilliant. Very pleased with the finished product, and quicker than initially expected. Thanks again, Marc

Ordered loads of branded merch from them (we're talking in the 1000s) multiple times over the past few years and they never fail to be absolutely spectacular with their customer service, general friendliness and their helpfulness! The merch is top notch quality, and will happily continue using Steel City for many orders to come! Hugely recommend!

We have ordered several branded products from Steel City, and we have been extremely impressed by both the quality of the products themselves and also the service we've received from their fantastic team. Georgia in particular has been brilliant - her friendly demeanour and genuine willingness to help us make the right decisions for our business made the entire process seamless. No question was too trivial, and no request was ever too much trouble for her. Steel City has earned our trust as a reliable and customer-focused company, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality branded products with exceptional service to match. Thanks guys!

I have known Steel City Marketing for many, many years and always find them extremely professional. The whole process: from responding to my initial inquiry; through to tracking delivery is managed in a super professional way. On top of that - they are lovely, friendly people ... highly recommended :-)

Seamless from start to finish. Very helpful company, brilliant product and delivery on time. Couldn't recommend more.

Very helpful and friendly customer service, and great job on pin badges produced for our Freshers campaign

Absolutely A-1 in every area. From design, to communication, to delivery, processing, speed, quality of products - exceptional!

My first time using Steel City BM, what a great service, we delayed things and messed them about a bit but they still came up trumps, got the merchandise we wanted, printed with our Logos and delivered within the very short timeframe we gave them, excellent service. I would highly recommend using them

I am a repeat customer for a good reason and have been for years. Never let me down, courteous, friendly service, quality goods, lovely efficient firm to deal with (exemplary COMMUNICATION as well, which seems to be a commodity fast diminishing between client and supplier these days) and going forward I’ll be back again - at least twice a year with ever increasing volumes. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Great firm.

Really easy to work with and the merch was great quality

Recently sourced products from Steel City and couldn't be happier! From the initial enquiry to the delivery of the products, every step of the process was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. The quality is exceptional, the customer service is outstanding, and the delivery was prompt. I highly recommend them to any business looking for reliable, high-quality suppliers. Thank you for exceeding our expectations!

Ordered a bulk order of 500 branded notepads on the Monday and they had been delivered on the Friday! Impressively fast. Great quality products, and the customer service is the best i've experienced- both Rowan the Sales Administrator and Debbie the Account Manager were excellent, very rapid email response with all the info needed. We will continue to use Steel City for our company's branded merch.

Can't rate the team at Steel City Marketing highly enough. I've ordered a few different promotional items just recently and every single time, from start to finish, the service from Georgia & Rowan in particular, has been first class. Each item we have had (leather key fobs, feather flags and printed bags) are of an excellent quality and have been produced to a very high standard. I've always been pleasantly surprised at the quality, speed and with the exceptional service this company has always fulfilled our orders.
