About The Steel City Diaries Range

These are diaries that live on a desk and in a bag for a full year, so we pick them for covers that keep their shape and layouts people actually write in. We want your logo looking as good in December as it did in January.

Layouts people use: We stock day-per-page for heavy note-takers (up to 384 pages) and week-to-view for a lighter planner (128-160 pages), in A4 down to pocket. Match the format to how much someone writes, not just the size that looks generous.
Branding that ages well: The soft-touch covers here take blind embossing or foil blocking, finishes that stay looking premium far longer than a print that can scuff. On the recycled Castelli lines you can also run full-colour digital print if you need to match brand colours exactly.
Covers built for a bag: The Molehide diaries use a perimeter-stitched soft-touch cover, so the edges stay tidy after months of sliding in and out of a laptop bag rather than curling or fraying.
Recycled specs you can verify: We include lines with stated standards – Global Recycled Standard bottle-yarn covers, 100% recycled FSC certified paper, REACH compliance – so your sustainability team gets evidence, not a vague eco claim.
Useful internals: Ribbon markers, full-colour map sections and document pockets turn a diary into something that holds train tickets and loose notes, which is what makes people keep using it instead of reaching for their phone.
Proof and honest timings: We’ll send a proof of the emboss or foil position before production. Lead times are usually around 10-12 working days from artwork approval – worth planning backwards from for a January rollout – and several lines carry a 5 Day Express option.
A starting point, not the ceiling: These are the diary formats we curate around for reliable covers and timings. If your dates allow, we can source alternative covers, colours or page layouts to the same standard – just ask.

Desk week at a glance: We recommend the Molehide A5 Week To View Diary for a diary that mostly lives on a desk – the week-to-view layout keeps the whole week visible, and the perimeter-stitched soft-touch cover stays tidy all year. It takes a blind emboss or foil on a 180 x 115mm cover area, and there’s a 5 Day Express option.
Full day of writing room: When someone needs space for meeting notes, the Molehide Daily A5 Diary gives a 384-page day-per-page layout in the same stitched cover, so notes don’t get crammed into the margins. Ribbon marker and full-colour maps included, plus the 5 Day Express tag.
Fits a jacket pocket: The Molehide Pocket Diary is the one for travel and events at 165 x 85mm – small enough for a pocket but still perimeter-stitched so it doesn’t get dog-eared. Week-to-view with a ribbon marker, embossed or foil blocked on a 135 x 60mm cover, and available on 5 Day Express.
Recycled cover with evidence: We chose the Castelli Recycled Bottles Diary when a project has strict sustainability criteria – the cover is Global Recycled Standard bottle yarn, the pages are 100% recycled 80gsm, and it still takes full-colour digital print, foil or blind embossing. It comes in five colours.
Fully recyclable, paper cover: The Castelli Nature 100% Recyclable Diary is the pick if end-of-life recyclability matters – a textured ethically sourced paper cover with rounded corners, week-to-view with 160 pages and an internal document pocket. FSC paper, suitable for digital print or blind embossing.
A4 day-per-page for the desk: For the heaviest note-takers the Excel Daily A4 Diary gives full A4 day-to-view room at 295 x 208mm with a padded front cover that debosses cleanly. It carries both 3 Day and 5 Day Express tags, so it’s a strong call when your deadline is tight.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best.
