About The Steel City Result Range

We select Result outerwear much like we’d choose kit for our own team. It’s about finding those styles that actually handle UK weather properly, and then managing the branding so you don’t end up with jackets that sit in a cupboard or logos that don’t do your brand justice.

Season-right layers: We’ve chosen a mix of softshells, fleeces, and padded jackets because we know every day is different, and it allows you to give your team the right layer for a cold start, a wet afternoon, or those indoor/outdoor shifts, rather than buying one jacket that just doesn’t quite fit the job.
Repeatable chest branding: It’s really important that the branding lands well, and our proofing process checks logo size and placement against real seams and zips so that left-chest position remains consistent across the order, ensuring clean front panels so your branding doesn’t drift into awkward placements when the team is together.
Branding that holds up: If you wouldn’t wear the product yourself, there’s no point putting your logo on it, which is why we usually suggest high-stitch embroidery on outerwear that can take it, or steer you toward transfer printing if the fabric needs it, to avoid common issues like cracking prints or peeling edges after a few washes so the brand continues to look great.
UK-weather shell choices: We prioritise shells with windproof, breathable TPU membranes, and then step up to fully waterproof options for those outside all day – it’s about avoiding that trade-off where a jacket is either clammy when you’re moving, or letting the rain in when you’re standing still.
Sizing people can work in: We look for lines that run up to 4XL and include women’s fits on key styles because you want your team to feel comfortable and part of the business, and tight jackets just slow people down, while proper sizing means the kit moves correctly when people are lifting, driving, or working with tools.
Easy top-ups later: We lean on core Result lines because we know they offer consistency – it helps when you need to reorder for new starters, you want to know the colour match is right, the fabric weight is the same, and it looks just as professional as the first batch.

Clammy-proof softshell: We recommend the Result Core Softshell Jacket because the 3-layer bonded build pairs a windproof, breathable TPU membrane with a microfleece inner, and it’s comfortable for the recipient in their day-to-day whether they’re in the van or visiting a customer, while also giving a stable area for branding so embroidery looks really sharp.
Proper rain spec: We’ve picked the Result Genuine Recycled Three Layer Printable Softshell Jacket because the 8000mm waterproof / 1000g breathable spec handles long wet days far better than lighter “showerproof” options, and it also uses a YKK zip to reduce the chance of zip failures which is vital for items getting daily use.
Flatter gilet branding: We use the Result Core Printable Softshell Bodywarmer because the fabric is elastane-free and easy to print, which ensures it stays flatter across the chest and back so your branding stays readable and doesn’t ripple as the fabric relaxes over time.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
