About The Steel City Sportswear Range

We choose this sportswear so you can kit out a charity run, a club side or an event crew – without the branding cracking after a wash, the fabric feeling clingy under movement, or the fit being wrong across a mixed squad.

Print dyed into the fabric: The bespoke tops and shorts here are dye-sublimated all over, so the design goes into the fibre rather than sitting on top as a panel that splits when the garment stretches. That keeps sponsor graphics sharp through repeated wear and washing.
Weights matched to the job: The kit runs around 150-160gsm micro mesh for running and match tops, so it wicks and breathes without feeling see-through. We’ll steer you to the right weight rather than let a thin top feel cheap on the day.
Fits across the whole squad: Sizing reaches S-5XL on the football shorts, jersey and running vest, with a ladies’ swimsuit option, so you can issue kit properly instead of guessing the closest size. Better fit means fewer tight shoulders and split seams.
Recycled running accessories: The Nomad belt and hydration vest are made from GRS certified recycled polyester with an rPET lining, so the eco line holds up because the material is named and certified. The vest also carries a reflective lining for low light.
Embroidery where it lasts: On the sports cap we’d use embroidery rather than print, because stitching handles sweat and friction better than a transfer on an accessory. We work to a defined area and proof placement before anything runs.
Proof-fixed placement: We lock down logo size, position and colour on a proof first, so artwork sits the same across mixed sizes and styles rather than drifting off-centre. You sign off exactly what gets made.
A starting point, not the ceiling: These are the sportswear lines we keep coming back to for reliable fabric and branding, at around 10-12 working days from artwork approval. If your quantity and dates allow, we can source fully bespoke cuts and colours to the same standard – just ask.

Full-colour match shorts: We recommend the Bespoke Unisex Football Shorts for club and five-a-side kit because the dye-sublimated print carries your design and sponsors across the whole garment without a heavy panel that stiffens up. They’re 160gsm 100% polyester micro mesh with a stretch fit, sized S-5XL to cover the squad.
Matching team jersey: The Unisex Football Jersey is the natural pairing – 150gsm polyester micro mesh, dye-sublimated all over so team colours and sponsor logos stay sharp as it stretches. Sizing runs S-5XL, so it fits the same range as the shorts for a consistent strip.
Lightweight running vest: We’d suggest the Bespoke Running Vest for a charity run or training group – 150gsm 100% polyester micro mesh that breathes, with all-over sublimation so the design won’t crack across the chest mid-run. Sized S-5XL for a broad field of runners.
Cycling jersey for road teams: The Bespoke Unisex Cycling Jersey is our pick for a cycling group or sportive – a short-sleeved ultra-mesh jersey at 150gsm, dye-sublimated all over so full-length sponsor branding stays crisp. It runs S-4XL across a mixed group.
Reflective hydration vest: We use the Nomad GRS Running Vest Hydration Pack when runners need to carry water – a 5 litre pack in GRS certified recycled ripstop with an rPET lining, and a 150 x 100mm full-colour print on the back. A best seller with a genuine recycled build you can name.
Sports cap with lasting branding: The HW Premium Pioneer Sports Teardrop Twill Cap rounds out an event crew look – a structured 6-panel cap with teardrop perforations for airflow, branded with embroidery up to 5,000 stitches so it holds up to sweat and handling. There’s a 3 Day and 5 Day Express option when your deadline’s tight.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
