About The Steel City Glass Range

Glass type match: We distinguish clearly between drinkware for gifting and glass awards for recognition, because we know that the wrong weight or shape just doesn’t feel right in the hand or can be unstable on a desk. We want to ensure you aren’t spending budget on glass that looks nice in a picture but doesn’t quite do the job when it’s actually used or displayed.
Permanent etch depth: We will usually recommend engraving or sandblast-engraving where you need a mark that won’t fade or scratch off after washing and handling. It’s really important that names, dates, and logos remain readable and don’t go patchy or dull over time—you want the branding to last as long as the product.
Colour print control: We suggest spot-colour or full-colour printing only on pieces that can take it cleanly on the front face. This ensures the print stays sharp and centred rather than looking thin or drifting. We want to make sure the glass photographs really well on tables, in cabinets, and on stage.
Boxed per piece: We prioritise glass that comes individually boxed (gift boxed or white gift box) because we know that loose-packed items can chip or scuff in transit. This makes it much easier for you to hand awards or gifts out immediately without worrying about repacking or checking for damage.
Proof-first placement: Our proofing process always checks the fixed branding area against your artwork. Because curved glass and tight print zones can be tricky, we want to sign off the layout and spacing before anything is branded, rather than you having to fix mis-sized artwork after production.
Lead times you can schedule: We steer you towards lines with clear production timing (often 7 working days from proof approval) and will highlight express options where they exist. We know how critical deadlines are for events, so this helps you keep ceremonies and gifting dates intact without having to swap products at the last minute.
Consistent supply chain: Our BPMA-accredited sourcing means we keep the spec steady across repeat runs. This avoids issues like mixed glass thickness or different engraving depths when you reorder. We want to make it easy for you to run the same award or gifting set across teams and years with total consistency.

Gift-boxed bowl clarity: We use the Infinity Wine Glass as a benchmark because we can specify a 390ml glass with engraved branding and individual gift boxing. This avoids that flimsy “promo glass” feel. It keeps your branding readable on the curved bowl and makes it really straightforward to present to a client or team member.
Controlled flute area: We picked the Infinity Champagne Flute because its 180ml size and defined 65 x 40mm engraving area stop oversized artwork wrapping badly around the glass. This lets you keep your logo size sensible and ensures your placement looks consistent in event photos.
Frosted, wash-safe mark: We recommend the Dimple Base Whisky Tumbler with sandblast engraving because that frosted finish stays visible after regular handling and washing. We want to avoid shallow marks that polish out or turn into a light grey haze over time.
Readable name layout: We suggest the 15 x 10cm Jade Glass Circle Award – Engraved because the 105mmØ front engraving area gives you plenty of space for names and dates without squeezing them to the edge. Individual boxing keeps the face protected so you can store and transport awards without scuffs.
High-contrast colour face: We use the 15 x 10cm Jade Glass Circle Award – Full Colour when you want branding that reads well from a distance. The full-colour front print across a 105mmØ area holds contrast under venue lighting, preventing dull logos that disappear once you’re on stage.
Express-ready presentation: We chose the 10 x 14.5cm Jade Glass Bevelled Crescent Award – Engraved because its 110 x 65mm front engraving area and white gift box keep the presentation consistent when time is tight. If you have an urgent deadline, the 3-day express option is a real boost, reducing the risk of unboxed awards turning up late.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule.
