Can you believe we are at the start of a new decade?! Have any of you taken part in the #10YearChallenge that has become viral on social media? A lot has changed for us at Steel City in the past ten years. We have re-branded, moved into our own specially designed offices and we now have a new updated website!
As well as modernising the design, our main aim of the new website was to display and allow easy access to inspirational, creative promotional product ideas. Collaborating with brands and creating innovative promotional product solutions is a major USP for Steel City and so it was really important for us to make that a key focus.
How have we done this?
- There is now a slider at the top of the homepage where we can display new promotional products, seasonal ideas and any specific offers we are running.
- The product catalogue has been simplified into one tab to make it easier to access products. We also have a wider selection of promotional products to view.
- We have created a whole page dedicated to new promotional gift ideas. The ‘Spark Ideas’ page will be regularly updated with new and exciting ideas and examples of how branded merchandise has been used.

A new page called Knowledge Hub has also been added to the site, to give you instant access to FAQs, promotional products solutions and advice via video. The blog will continue to be a main feature of the website, with all our new product suggestions, ideas and expert advice on there. You can now also sign up to our mailing list via the website to see our marketing content first.
Additional goals of our updated website…
Our culture, who we are and how we differentiate from our competitors were all also key for us to get across on the new website. You can meet the team and find out about our quirks, read about our history, values, and why we feel we are a great choice of branded merchandise partner.
Our process has been condensed into four main areas to help to explain how your order is handled from initial consultation right through to the outcome of your purchased promotional products.
If you need to convince your manager or a senior team member of the merits of promotional products, we have a page dedicated to Why Branded Merchandise?
We have tried to make it easier for you to contact us if you don’t have the time to look through the ideas and products selection. As well as a Contact Us page, there is a call back feature on every page whereby you can leave your phone number and we will be notified to call you back.
Finally, we wanted to showcase our customer feedback and testimonials – evident on the homepage and headers.
