Steel City Marketing Ltd.’s James Biggin Awarded Highly Commended at the 2024 Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards

Steel City Marketing Ltd is thrilled to announce that Managing Director James Biggin was awarded Highly Commended in the Business Person of the Year category at the 2024 Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards, held on Friday, 8th November at Magna.

This recognition reflects James’ unwavering dedication to Steel City Marketing over the past 20+ years, highlighting his passion, energy, and commitment to the success of the business, ensuring both team and customer satisfaction.

James was among five distinguished finalists in the Business Person of the Year category. The award, which was won by Alicia Hewitt, MD of Secure Power, was one of many given during a memorable evening celebrating the accomplishments and resilience of the region’s business community.

Commenting on the award, James Biggin said: “I am incredibly grateful to have been recognised for such a prestigious award and humbled be amongst some great business people in South Yorkshire. Reflecting on our submission was a rewarding experience. The way we work every day brings the black and white results and numbers, but behind all that is a group of people who know each other so well and blend really hard work, laughter and care. The awards ceremony, hosted by Look North presenter Amy Garcia, celebrated excellence in business across South Yorkshire, with awards for categories such as Business Growth, Sustainability, and Community Impact. Carrie Sudbury, CEO of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, emphasised the event’s importance in recognising those who contribute to the region’s growth and vitality:
