At Steel City, we’ve built our expo packs to solve that all-too-common headache at busy shows: mismatched items, last-minute packing, and branding that just doesn’t look consistent.

We know that when you’re loading the car, setting up the table, and trying to speak to people all at once, you need a solution that just works. A pre-kitted set that’s already proofed and produced as one job saves you from doing “kit control” on the day and lets you focus on the people in front of you.

Pre-kitted bundles: We know that first impressions count. By supplying these as complete kits, the bundle (bag + notebook + pen + bottle) stays together with consistent branding throughout. It stops the team from having to grab random items off the table and ensures every visitor walks away with a pack that looks professional from the start of the day to the finish.
Maximum brand exposure: We prioritise packs with really generous print areas—bags up to 300 × 300mm, bottles up to 265 × 70mm, and notebooks up to 206 × 136mm. We do this because small print zones can get lost; we want your logo to be seen clearly while you’re talking to a prospect and, crucially, while they are walking around the hall acting as a bit of an advertising board for you.
Pack-wide proofing: Our process is very tight. We cover every item in the kit before production starts, with lead times counted from that all-important artwork approval. This means we’re backing you every step of the way, reducing the risk of signing off a bag visual but receiving bottles or notebooks that don’t quite match up.
Deadline-safe lead times: We know lead time is a popular question! Our pack options sit in clear production windows (typically 5-10 working days from artwork approval) so you can plan without gambling on a late change. If your deadline is tight, this helps you avoid having to swap products at the last minute for items that might not match your brand guidelines.
Spot or full colour: We take a consultative approach to your colours. We keep both 1-colour and full-colour routes available so we can choose the right output for your logo. If your design has gradients, the full-colour option prevents that “flattened” look, ensuring your brand stands out exactly as it should.
Everyday keepers: We base our kits around things people will actually use day-to-day. A5 notebooks (with ribbon markers and elastic closures) are like a comfort blanket for meeting notes, practical bottles (including 500ml double-walled stainless steel) are used time and time again, and reliable ballpens are always needed. We avoid novelty items that get binned fast, ensuring your brand stays on desks long after the event.
Curated first, then bespoke: We know the industry can be overwhelming with choice. Our approach is to start with packs shown as known “safe” builds for print area, usefulness, and production control. If you need something outside the list, we can certainly narrow down a bespoke choice, but we keep the same strict proofing checks so you get exactly what you need.

Gift-level bottle: We chose the Merch Gift Bag – Midi because we believe if you wouldn’t use a product yourself, there’s no point putting your logo on it. The 500ml double-walled stainless steel bottle and A5 notebook avoid that “thin freebie” feel. Short lead, UK-made: We build the Merch Gift Bag – Midi with UK-made production and a 5-day lead time from artwork approval. We know traceability is important, and this cuts down the import drift that often forces last-minute substitutions. If your show date is close, this keeps your plan stable.
Matched print sizes: We use the Expo Bag Conference Pack – Spot Colour when you want a clean, repeatable 1-colour set. Defined print areas (e.g., bag 220 × 210mm, notebook 195 × 100mm) ensure your logo doesn’t look “bigger on one item, smaller on the next.” It’s all about making sure the quality is perceived as really high when you’re handing out hundreds across a day.
Multi-colour control: We picked the Expo Bag Conference Pack – Full Colour for logos that need that extra detail. Full-colour branding across each item (e.g., notebook up to 206 × 136mm, bottle up to 232 × 80mm) prevents colour drop-outs. It really makes the brand stand out and keeps the pack visually consistent.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service.
