At Steel City, we approach golf merchandise the same way we do any campaign: it has to be useful. We pick items that earn their place in the bag—products that can cope with the weather, pockets, and repeat use. Our job is to ensure your brand is seen all season, not just on the day, and to get everything delivered without any last-minute stress.

Useful mid-round items: I always put forward items that I think are useful for the recipient. We choose umbrellas with up to 1300mmØ canopies, 480gsm cotton velour tri-fold towels with a clip, and tee packs with 70mm tees because these are things players actually reach for during a round. It stops you spending budget on throwaway freebies and ensures the product—and your brand—gets maximum exposure on the course.
Consultative lead-time planning: We know that “Have we got enough time?” is the most popular question we get. Our team filters products by real production lead times (5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20 days) right from the start. We take a consultative approach to prevent you from falling in love with a product that looks great on screen but simply can’t be branded in time for tee-off.
Quality branding that lasts: When you put your logo on a product, you want it to be perceived as really good quality. We push for robust methods like embroidery (up to 6 colours / 10,000 stitches) and engraving on metal parts because we know they survive being thrown in a golf bag. This ensures your logo stays sharp and consistent across the whole order, rather than fading or looking tired after a few rounds.
Deadline-safe solutions: We know things can get tight with sign-offs, so we keep express-ready staples in the mix, including 5-day options on key event pieces. If you are up against a deadline, we can usually make something work that still looks fantastic, rather than forcing you to compromise on quality just to get it there on time.
Ready-to-go welcome packs: We love boxed sets, drawstring accessory pouches (230 x 165mm), and tri-fold towels that clip to a bag because they make the perfect welcome pack. It makes the recipient feel part of the event straight away and stops loose items getting lost between the car and the first tee.
No Greenwashing: Sustainability is a real buzzword, but we are careful not to greenwash. We choose “eco” options only when we can trace the credentials—whether that’s rPET canopy fabric, 100% recycled components, or biodegradable packaging. We want to make sure you can confidently tick those sustainability boxes with products that genuinely match your values.
A solid starting point: We use these standards as a safe starting point because we know they work reliably. From there, we can work with you to narrow down the choice. If your quantities and timing allow, we can then look at bespoke items to match exactly how you want to run your golf day.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best.
