Key Information

At Steel City, we know that mini umbrellas are one of the few giveaways people genuinely carry and use day-to-day. Our goal is to make sure you avoid the usual frustrations: umbrellas that feel too small, frames that flip in the first gust of wind, or branding that doesn’t look quite right on the fabric.

Useful open diameter: We focus on minis with roughly 980mm open diameters to keep coverage sensible when you’re walking to the car, the station, or between buildings. It’s important to avoid a “mini” that technically fits in a bag but still leaves your shoulders wet when you’re out and about.
Consistent branding: We usually recommend 1-colour, 1-panel printing with a defined print area (commonly 180 x 120 x 120mm) so your logo lands well every time. This takes the guesswork out of the artwork and ensures your branding doesn’t look squeezed or sit too close to a seam.
Wind-flex ribs: Because gusts are what damage cheaper umbrellas, we include windproof systems where the frame flexes instead of snapping. That means when you hand these out at an event, they’re going to be kept and used, rather than ending up in the bin after the first windy walk.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best.
