When you’re putting your logo on a product, you want it to be perceived as really good quality. At Steel City, we’ve chosen these pads because we know you need to run meetings, training, and events without fighting flimsy paper or print that doesn’t look right.
- Edge-safe print areas: We make sure your branding stays crisp. Our process sets a clear print box for every size (e.g., A5: 200 × 138mm; A4: 297 × 210mm; A6: 138 × 95mm) so trimming doesn’t take a bite out of your logo or leave it looking off-centre. It keeps your brand readable on every single sheet (1 side), whether you’re going for a simple 1-colour print or full colour.
- Realistic lead times: Lead time is a really popular question. We monitor production schedules closely (usually 7-10 working days from artwork approval) and flag what’s realistic so you don’t order a pad that turns up after your event or mail-out date. If you’re tight on time, we can look at express options, though that might limit what’s available.
- Table-flat backing: Usefulness is key. We specify a board back and a firm glue line (typically at the head; A3 variants often at the foot) so the pad stays flat when you’re writing one-handed in a meeting. It stops the pad from creeping around on smooth tables or pages lifting when you’re trying to work.
- Branding on every page: Your brand is seen on every page. We print on every single sheet (1 colour or full colour on 1 side), not just the cover, which keeps your logo or QR code in view right until the pad is finished. That means the branding still does its job weeks later when someone tears off the top sheets to keep on their desk.
- Consistency is key: We champion UK-made options across this range because it reduces batch-to-batch surprises when you reorder. If you’re sending pads to different offices, it ensures they look and feel exactly the same every time – it’s that relentless repetition of quality.
- No greenwashing: We take sustainability seriously. We use paper from certified, responsibly managed forests because “eco” claims are useless if you can’t point to what the sheet actually is. We want to give you a clear spec that you can trust.
- We can adapt: While these pads are a brilliant baseline for quality, if your desk setup, packaging, or event kit needs something different, we can help. Our team can source bespoke formats and specs when time and quantity allow to get you exactly what you need.
Our Pads & Blocks Range
- Full-colour sheet control: We love the A5 Smart Pad-Full Colour because having full colour on every sheet, backed by board, stops that “cheap promo pad” look you get when print varies page to page. It keeps your branding consistent whether you’re taking meeting notes or leaving pads in a client room.
- Bag-resistant A6: The A6 Smart Pad – 1 Colour is great for events. By gluing 50 sheets together on a board back, we reduce the risk of bent corners and dog-eared pages in delegate bags. It means the pad stays presentable when someone pulls it out later.
- Keyboard-side strip pad: I think the Smart Laptop Pad – Full Colour (297 × 105mm) is really useful. The strip format sits perfectly next to a keyboard without getting buried under paperwork. It keeps your QR code or details visible while you’re jotting down tasks during calls.
- Cover that lasts: We picked wiro-binding and laminated 300gsm card covers for the A4 Wiro Smart Notepad – Full Colour so it behaves more like a notebook you keep, rather than a pad that curls up. It stands up much better to being opened, shut, and thrown in a bag.
- Stable A4 meeting pad: We recommend the A4 Smart Pad – 1 Colour because the glued pad on a board back stops that slide-and-scrunch problem you get on smooth boardroom tables. Plus, print on every sheet keeps your branding in view through the whole pad, not just on day one.
- Laminated welcome-pack feel: This is perfect for welcome packs. We chose a laminated 300gsm gloss art board cover for the A5 Laminated Smart Pad Cover – 1 Colour so onboarding stationery doesn’t arrive looking creased. It gives you something that holds its shape on a desk and feels like a real welcome gift.
