At Steel City, we choose signage formats that solve the common issues we see time and again: prints you can’t read from a distance, frames that won’t sit straight, or “quick fixes” that need replacing immediately.
When you’re fitting out a stand or a venue to a deadline, the material, the hardware, and our proofing process matter just as much as the artwork.
- Read-from-distance sizing: We will always suggest formats that ensure you’re seen. Small prints can disappear when you step back, so our team shortlists proven banner and flag sizes to ensure your brand stands out where people are actually walking.
- Proof-first artwork gate: Our proofing process is there to back you up. We hold production until you approve the artwork because we want to catch any low-res files or placement issues before print – saving you time and budget on reprints.
- Short-turnaround options: We know deadlines can be tight. That’s why we keep express options on key formats (like 3-day and 5-day services) so you have a workable range that looks great, even if you’re up against the clock.
- Pack-down carry hardware: We prioritise systems that are easy to transport. Lightweight hardware and carry bags mean no loose parts or damage on the way into venues – it’s about making the setup as smooth as possible.
- Weather-tolerant materials: If you’re outdoors, quality is key. We recommend materials like PVC banner stock with eyelets and knitted polyester flag fabrics because they withstand wind and rain, ensuring your print doesn’t look dull or stretched after a few uses.
- Bigger print area: We lean towards tall and wide print areas to get you maximum exposure. You don’t want your graphics lost under venue lighting or behind queues; you want to be seen across the pitch or hall.
- Baseline, then bespoke: These formats are great starting points that cover most venues and timelines. But if your install needs a specific size, fixing, or build, we’ll use our expertise to source exactly what you need.
Our Signage Range
- Anti-glare banner face: We recommend the Premium Roller Banner because the white matt PVC cuts down light bounce. This means your logo stays readable even under harsh exhibition lights when you’re setting up in a hurry.
- Tighter outdoor edges: Our team specifies the Banner and Frame with a heavy-duty steel frame, 510gsm PVC, eyelets, and elasticated fixings. This setup holds tension really well, avoiding the flapping edges and ripped corners you get with lighter rigs.
- Upright crowd height: We chose the Feather Flag – Medium because the carbon fibre pole supports the 3126 x 720mm print area without that “droop” you often see. It keeps your branding visible above the crowd moving around the site.
- Further-away visibility: For even more impact, our team picked the Feather Flag – Large. The extra-tall 4500 x 862mm format (4136 x 862mm print area) gives you readable height when your viewing distance is longer, like across a car park or walkway.
- Full table coverage: We recommend the Tablecloth because edge-to-edge dye sublimation on 220gsm display polyester avoids that “half-drape” look and reduces corner curl, so your table looks like one clean, professional branded surface.
- Two-way message viewing: Our team chose the Pop Out Tee Banner because the double-sided full-colour print and ground spikes keep it working from both directions. You’re not relying on a single approach route at busy events.
