At Steel City, we know that when you’re at an event, you want your brand to be perceived as really good quality. That’s why we carefully select branded banner setups that we know will work on the day – avoiding those tricky issues like soft materials that crease or artwork that doesn’t quite land well.

When you’re loading into a venue, the priority is simple: the banner needs to look great, pull tight, and ensure your branding is clear from the distance people are actually viewing it.

Getting the right fit: We’ll take a consultative approach and ask how you’re fixing it and where it’s going. We can then recommend the format that actually attaches properly – whether that’s portable cassettes, eyeleted PVC, or framed systems. It’s really important to us that you don’t arrive with a banner that can’t be hung or doesn’t sit right.
Proofs at full size: We always provide you with a proof before production – nothing goes to print without your approval. Our team checks artwork against real print size and safe areas, which helps avoid pixelated logos or clipped edges. We want to make sure it looks as good in the room as it did on the screen.
Reinforced fixing points: We suggest eyelets and matching fixings because they spread the pull across the edge, rather than putting stress on one point. This keeps the banner tensioned so you can tighten it up confidently, ensuring it lasts and looks professional even in busy environments.
Quality outdoor materials: We would probably suggest heavier GSM PVC or water-repellent canopy fabrics if your banner is going outside. That choice is really worth considering to reduce flapping or creases that catch the light in photos. It ensures the product doesn’t just absorb rain and look heavy, but keeps your brand standing out.
Working to your deadline: Lead time is a really popular question. We’ll talk about your dates from artwork approval, then point you towards standard or express options that match. We want to ensure we can achieve exactly what you need without the stress of a product that can’t be delivered in time.
Easy pack-down hardware: You’ve got so much expense and time put aside for an event, so you want the setup to be smooth. We prioritise formats with carry bags and rigid parts that go back together easily. This lets you transport and set up quickly, without wrestling with kits that are difficult to manage.
Repeatable site kits: We often recommend systems you can use time and time again across locations, including modular frames. That keeps sizes, colours, and finishes consistent, so you don’t end up with banners that look mismatched when they’re side-by-side.
More options available: These are the suggestions we put forward first because we know they deliver the quality our clients expect. If you’ve got unusual sizes or specific needs, we can use our expertise to source other materials and formats to match your site.

Premium Roller Banner: We recommend the Premium Roller Banner because the aluminium cassette keeps the graphic rolled safely and the pole hardware sets the height consistently. It allows you to deploy a full-height banner quickly, and then pack it back into the carry bag knowing the print is protected for next time.
Banner and Frame: Our approach with the Banner and Frame is to use a heavy-duty portable steel frame with 510gsm PVC, eyelets, and elasticated fixings. It pulls tight and stays there, avoiding those slack edges or flapping prints you might see elsewhere. It’s a really powerful tool for outdoor use.
Pop Out Tee Banner: We picked the Pop Out Tee Banner because the supplied ground spikes give you a simple way to stop twisting on grass. The double-sided, weatherproof print keeps your branding visible from both directions, which is great for maximising exposure when footfall comes from multiple angles.
Branded Gazebo: We build the Gazebo with 235gsm water-repellent polyester on a strong aluminium pop-up frame because lighter canopies can sag when wet. This setup holds its shape through repeated events, allowing you to get set up fast and start talking to clients.
Branded Tablecloth: We include the Tablecloth because the edge-to-edge dye sublimation on 220gsm display polyester prints cleanly and looks fantastic. It gives you a readable front panel for photos, avoiding that half-covered look, and really helps your brand land well.
3-day banner fallback: If you have an urgent deadline or an event coming up in a few days, we point you at the Premium Roller Banner with the 3 Day Express Delivery option in 2000 x 800mm. It gives you a standard full-height banner size that we can produce quickly once you’ve signed off the proof.

Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket. My original supplier completely let me down, calling late on a Friday afternoon (3:00 PM) to push the committed delivery date from Tuesday to Thursday, which was too late for our filming schedule. In a panic, I called James's team at 3:05 PM that same Friday, honestly expecting a firm "no." However, I was met with unbelievably helpful and flexible service. The team, specifically Rowan and David, were absolutely first class! They went above and beyond, making it seem like nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to their efforts, the jacket will now be delivered on Wednesday—a whole day before we need it for filming! This is old-school customer service at its very best.
