At Steel City, we select branded mugs and cups based on how they’ll perform in the real world. We want to avoid lids that leak, prints that scratch, and “eco” claims that don’t stack up. This range focuses on heat retention, spill control, and materials that are genuinely useful for the recipient in their day-to-day life.

Long-Shift Insulation: We prioritise vacuum-insulated stainless steel because that double-wall build slows heat loss and stops the outside sweating. Whether you’re commuting or sitting in back-to-back meetings, your drink stays hot for longer (often up to 15 hours) or cold for longer (often up to 24 hours), meaning it gets used time and time again rather than being abandoned.
Bag-Safe Lid Options: We know that spills are a real worry when carrying items in bags. We include screw-fit, push-lock and 360° lid choices to reduce the risk of a cup leaking on a desk near a laptop. It’s about providing a product that won’t let the user down.
Defensible Recycled Claims: It’s really important that we don’t greenwash. We steer you towards items with clear recycled-content standards like GRS/RCS recycled stainless steel and 100% recycled polypropylene. This gives you the full traceability you need, with concrete standards to point to should your procurement team ask.
Wear-Resistant Branding: We want your logo to be perceived as really good quality. Our approach is to match the branding method to how the cup gets treated—handled, dropped in bags, and washed repeatedly. If you need branding that won’t scuff, we’ll suggest laser engraving on steel or properly sized full-colour wrap printing (up to 290 × 105mm on some shapes) that holds up better than small prints.
Readable Wrap Areas: We pick shapes with genuinely visible print placements because we want you to get maximum exposure. If your mug is getting carried around a venue or between meetings, larger areas like 236 × 132mm and near-360° coverage ensure your branding is seen from every angle.
Easy-Wash Materials: We prioritise dishwasher-safe cups and tumblers because we know convenience is key to reusability. Just wanted to share some overwhelmingly positive feedback about James and his incredible team. I recently placed a very small, but crucial, order for an embroidered puffa jacket.
