It’s really important that when you are dressing a team for front-of-house, security, or VIP hosting, the quality reflects your brand. We know that things like colour drift, soft-looking logos, or reorders that don’t match can negatively impact that first impression.

That’s why at Steel City, we source and spec our ties and scarves carefully. We want to make sure they stand up to the job, look great in photos under mixed lighting, and match perfectly on every reorder.

Proof approval before production: We always provide you with a proof before production – nothing goes to print without your approval. We set the lead time (e.g., 20/25/35/42 days) from that sign-off. It’s really important to us that the logo detail is clean and you’re happy with the artwork, avoiding any surprises later on.
Pantone matching: Where the fabric and branding method allow, we’ll always look to match your brand colours using Pantone references. This stops your reds looking orange or navy reading as purple under venue lighting, and helps keep your team colours consistent even when you reorder in separate batches.
Print vs weave choice: We take a consultative approach to help you decide between printed branding or jacquard weaving. It depends on how often the item will be worn and how close people will be to it. We want to prevent a high-wear tie looking tired too quickly or an event scarf lacking contrast in photos.
Material options: Our range runs from polyester and acrylic right through to silk. We know that hand-feel and drape change how the item reads when you’re wearing it all day. For a one-day event, we can keep the spend sensible, but for VIP or front-of-house, we can step up the finish so it doesn’t feel like a standard promo item.
Maximum exposure: Our oversized scarf options and all-over print sizes (e.g., 700 x 700mm) give your branding more usable space. It’s a real boost to have designs that stay legible in group shots, stage photos, and wide-angle venue footage.
Consistent sizing: We use standard tie sizes (1450 x 95mm) and repeatable scarf builds to keep proportions steady across departments and reorder waves. This helps avoid that issue where widths, drape, and logo scale change between batches.
Expert suggestions: We’ve pressure-tested our shortlist for clarity, wear, and consistency to help you narrow down your choice quickly. However, if your quantities and lead time allow, we can go fully bespoke to get the exact finish and detail you really need.

Executive weave detail: We often recommend the Silk Jacquard Woven Tie as a benchmark because the 100% silk jacquard (up to 8 colours) keeps the design really sharp without relying on surface print that can look flat. If you’re dressing front-of-house or gifting execs, the weave keeps the logo readable without that printed sheen you might see on cheaper options.
Fast-turn brand ID: When you need a clear team identity on a tighter budget, we’d suggest the Polyester Printed Tie. It uses a controlled 4-colour print on a standard 1450 x 95mm tie. If you’re ordering for an event team, this keeps logo positioning consistent so it looks great at check-in distance and in photos.
Smoother gift drape: We spec the Silk Printed Tie on a silk base because it drapes cleaner and feels less “plasticky” than some synthetic alternatives. If people are wearing it through long days, the fabric resists that stiff, creased look – making sure the product goes down well with the team.
Big-area event print: For quick event rollouts, we’d pick the Express Polyester Scarf because the full-colour all-over print on a 700 x 700mm format gives you a large, readable logo field. If you’re working in busy venues, the size keeps your branding visible in crowd shots instead of disappearing.
House-colour control: We choose the Polyester Scarf because the Pantone-matched all-over print and contrast tassels help us get you a solution that stays consistent on repeat orders. If you’re onboarding new starters or topping up teams over time, this ensures your palette matches across mixed batches.
Colour knitted-in: We use the Acrylic Knitted Scarf when you need long-term wear because the colour is knitted in (up to 4 colours) rather than sitting on the surface. If it’s for clubs or schools that run all season, this reduces the risk of fading – making sure the product lasts and continues to do a good job for your brand.
